Recent stage credits include the world-premiere of her solo play "Feeding The Dragon" - her debut as writer/performer - at City Theatre in Pittsburgh. “Feeding The Dragon” will be produced by Hartford Stage in their 2017/18 season and will have it’s NY premiere at Primary Stages in the Spring of 2018.On Broadway Sharon appeared as The Lady in the critically-acclaimed "The Scottsboro Boys" musical by Kander & Ebb, directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. A role she originated at The Vineyard Theatre and The Guthrie.
Other recent Off-Broadway credits include roles she originated in "Dot" at the Vineyard Theatre, written by Colman Domingo and also directed by Susan Stroman; "While I Yet Live" by Billy Porter at Primary Stages; "Luce" by JC Lee at Lincoln Center Theater (LCT3); and "Wild With Happy" by Colman Domingo at the Public Theater for which she received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination and received an Audelco Award.
Sharon has appeared numerous times on the New York Shakespeare Festival stage including playing Lady Anne to Denzel Washington's Richard III and Valeria to Christopher Walken's Coriolanus; as well as in the award-winning adaptation of "Caucasian Chalk Circle" directed by George C. Wolfe and "Stuff Happens" directed by Daniel Sullivan.
Regional theater credits include the world premiere of "Dot" at Actors Theatre of Louisville; "The Scottsboro Boys" and "Intimate Apparel" (Guthrie Theater); "Merry Wives of Windsor" and "King Lear" (Denver Center); "Jar The Floor" (Seattle Rep); "Diggin' Eleven" (Hartford Stage); "The Story" and "Ceremonies In Dark Old Men" (Long Wharf Theatre); "Man and Superman" (Center Stage); "Miss Evers' Boys" (Philadelphia Theatre Company); "Twelfth Night" (Arena Stage); "Romeo & Juliet" (NJ Shakespeare Festival); and in the original production of August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson" at Yale Rep directed by Lloyd Richards.
She has also spent several wonderful seasons working on new plays at the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Conference, New York Theatre Workshop and the Sundance Theater Lab.
Sharon's film credits include roles in Wiener Dog, The Bourne Legacy, Michael Clayton, Rocksteady, Taking Chance, Freedomland, The School of Rock, Half Nelson, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Malcolm X, and Die Hard With A Vengeance.
Television appearances include recurring roles on Gotham, Law & Order: SVU and Damages. She has guest starred on Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, Golden Boy, White Collar, Royal Pains, NYC 22, Law & Order and Law& Order: CI among others.
Sharon has also appeared in numerous television and radio commercials both on-camera and voice-over and is an accomplished audiobook and documentary film narrator.

PRIMARY STAGES announced casting for On That Day in Amsterdam by Clarence Coo (People Sitting in Darkness) and directed by Zi Alikhan (The Boy Who Danced on Air). On That Day in Amsterdam will begin previews at 59E59’s Theater A on July 23, 2022, with opening night set for August 11 for a limited run through September 4, 2022.
