by Lucía Serrano - Aug 13, 2026
I’ve loved the music of 17-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys for more than two decades, but the award-winning musical Hell’s Kitchen gave her songs new meaning and possibilities. After opening on Broadway in April 2024, the musical ran for nearly two years at the Shubert Theatre, playing 767 regular performances and 23 previews before closing in February 2026. Now, the musical is hitting the road, bringing Keys’ music and a story inspired by her own upbringing in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen to audiences across North America.

Review: HELL'S KITCHEN is on Fire at Broadway Sacramento
by Courtney Symes - Aug 1, 2026
Step into the concrete jungle where dreams are made of! Broadway Sacramento’s newest tour is aptly titled for our Sacramento summers, and Hell’s Kitchen is heating up the stage. This coming-of-age musical features the music and lyrics of Alicia Keys and is overflowing with enough heart, soul, and energy to light up Times Square. This two-time Tony Award-winning jukebox musical is much more than just familiar hits. It’s an inspiring, semi-autobiographical story about family, first love, and finding your voice, all wrapped up in one electrifying evening of theatre.
Review: HELL'S KITCHEN at Paramount Theatre
by Amelia Divine - Jul 23, 2026
Alicia Keys can write the hell out of a song. Her catalog has been the soundtrack to heartbreaks and first loves for more than two decades. Hell's Kitchen, the Grammy winner's semi-autobiographical musical now at the Paramount Theatre, is a welcome reminder of just how singular her music really is. The R&B musical may stumble as a coming-of-age drama, but as a celebration of Keys' artistry, it's, well, on fire.
Review: HELL’S KITCHEN at the Eccles Theater Has Swagger and Soul
by Tyler Hinton - Jul 8, 2026
The national tour of Alicia Keys’ HELL’S KITCHEN has arrived at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City with swagger and soul. This show is unlikely to play in Utah again, so seize this chance to experience something different and meaningful.
Review: HELL'S KITCHEN at Hollywood Pantages
by Evan Henerson - Jun 3, 2026
As substantial as its built-in assets are, the two-time Tony Award winner, musical is lacking in other areas. Book writer Kristoffer Diaz has crafted an exciting leading character, and an even more interesting supporting player. Alas, he has also included a rather perfunctory family triangle that gums up the play’s second act
