BIO
Daniel Craig began his screen career in 1992 with a role in The Power of One. In 1993, he appeared in the stage production Angels in America at the Royal National Theatre and had television roles in Zorro, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Heartbeat, Between the Lines, Drop the Dead Donkey, and Sharpe’s Eagle. His early film work included A Kid in King Arthur’s Court (1995). In 1996, he starred as George “Geordie” Peacock in the BBC series Our Friends in the North, which marked his breakthrough.
In 1997, Craig appeared in the film Obsession and the West End production of Hurlyburly. His 1998 credits included Love and Rage, Elizabeth, and Love Is the Devil. In 1999, he starred in The Trench and Shockers: The Visitor. His early 2000s work included Some Voices (2000), Hotel Splendide (2000), I Dreamed of Africa (2000), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Sword of Honour (2001), Road to Perdition (2002), Copenhagen (2002), Sylvia (2003), The Mother (2003), Layer Cake (2004), and Enduring Love (2004). In 2005, he appeared in The Jacket, Fateless, Munich, and the television film Archangel.
Craig made his debut as James Bond in Casino Royale (2006), followed by Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021). During this period, he also appeared in Infamous (2006), Renaissance (2006), The Invasion (2007), The Golden Compass (2007), Defiance (2008), Flashbacks of a Fool (2008), Cowboys & Aliens (2011), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), Dream House (2011), and The Adventures of Tintin (2011). His stage work included A Steady Rain on Broadway (2009) and Betrayal on Broadway (2013–2014).
In 2017, Craig appeared in Logan Lucky and Kings. In 2019, he starred as Benoit Blanc in Knives Out, a role he reprised in Glass Onion (2022) and Wake Up Dead Man (upcoming). His later work includes Macbeth on Broadway (2022) and Queer (2024).
