Since their inception in 1990, Black Diamond has established themselves as one of the premiere bands in the Midwest country music history. Over the course of their stellar career, Black Diamond has shared the stage with countless country stars, gained icon status, with their 10 years of continuous performances at the Iowa State Fair, entertained hundreds of thousands of the Midwest greatest country music listeners and have become one of the “Top Draw” acts in the Midwest. Black Diamond is a group of very professional and talented musicians. Here is a different look at country music with a personal style. The band has a fresh appeal to their audiences, a twist to their songs and an excellent method of performance. Conceived by Drummer/Leader Mark Postl of Swisher Iowa, Black Diamond’s line up also consists of 11 year Black Diamond veteran John Shockley , of Madrid Iowa, on keyboards, guitar, bass guitar and saxophone. John brings years of experience and excitement to the stage. Bass guitar, keys, harmonica & guitar duties are handled by Ames Iowa native Jan Warwick. Jan brings years of music scene and theatre experience with his talented performances. Returning to Black Diamond after a long absence, Robbie Young, a Cedar Rapids’ veteran musician and leader/record producer, adds his phenomenal and legendary talents to the guitar, keyboard and stage antics to the bands lineup. Finally, the newest member is Alexa Miller who's vocal presents and looks are a major plus to the Black Diamond lineup. Besides, she looks the best in a dress. The fun and camaraderie on stage is captured in the music and their performances always provide a crowd-pleasing show! Rarely does an act come along that delivers the high quality show that Black Diamond is famous for.
