BIO
Josh Strobl was born and raised in Burbank, CA and is a proud member of the Mexican-American Musical Theatre Community, with heritage tracing back to the indigenous Seri and Yaqui people. He left the sunny skies of Los Angeles to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Michigan. Go Blue! In 2016, he won Best Performance at the Jimmy Awards as well as the Jerry Herman Awards. From 2018 until its curtain call in 2022, he was a member of the Broadway cast of Dear Evan Hansen as the Universal Evan, Connor and Jared, with a detour to Canada where he was an original member of the Toronto cast for the duration of their performances. He is currently a member of the Original Broadway Cast of the Tony Award winning musical The Outsiders as the understudy for both Ponyboy and Johnny.
