Nick Cordero was nominated for a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for his performance in the Broadway production of Bullets over Broadway, for which he also received the Theatre World Award and Outer Critics Circle Award.
He also originated roles on Broadway in the hit musical Waitress as well as the musical adaptation of A Bronx Tale for which he received Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations.
He made his Broadway debut in Rock of Ages. Nick's off-Broadway credits include the original productions of Nice Girl, Brooklynite, and The Toxic Avenger Musical. His most recent appearance on stage was in the Kennedy Center concert presentation of Little Shop of Horrors.
Nick's television appearances include his work on Queer as Folk, Lilyhammer; Law and Order: SVU and his recurring role on Blue Bloods.
Cordero passed away on July 5th, 2020 at the age of 41, following a long battle with coronavirus. His solo album, Live Your Life: Live at Feinstein’s/54 Below, was released by Broadway Records to celebrate his incredible talent in a life cut tragically short.

Amanda Kloots performed a contemporary dance to 'Live Your Life', a song that her late husband, Nick Cordero, wrote before he passed away. Cordero died of COVID-19 at the age of 40 in July of 2020. I got the vaccine in memory of those who did not make it to this day, people like Nick Cordero. I took the vaccine in honour of families who have lost their world, like Amanda Kloots and Elvis. I was happy to be jabbed in thanks of all of our health care workers, who have had a much longer eighteen months than anyone can ever claim to have.

At the opening night curtain call, the cast called Amanda Kloots onstage to pay tribute to her husband, Nick Cordero.
