BIO
Harry Styles first gained public attention in 2010 when he auditioned as a solo contestant on the British television singing competition The X Factor. After being eliminated during bootcamp, he was grouped with Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik to form the boy band One Direction. The group reached the final of the show and subsequently signed with Syco Records in 2011. One Direction released the albums Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), Four (2014), and Made in the A.M. (2015), all of which achieved major commercial success. The group produced hit singles including “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Live While We’re Young,” “Best Song Ever,” “Story of My Life,” “Drag Me Down,” and “History.” In 2014, Styles also co-wrote “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart” for Ariana Grande’s album My Everything. One Direction went on indefinite hiatus in 2016.
In 2016, Styles signed a solo recording contract with Columbia Records and founded the label Erskine Records. His debut solo single, “Sign of the Times,” was released in 2017, followed by his self-titled debut album Harry Styles (2017). He supported the album with the tour Harry Styles: Live on Tour (2017–2018). That same year, Styles made his feature film acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk (2017). He also co-wrote “Alfie’s Song (Not So Typical Love Song)” for the film Love, Simon (2018) and served as an executive producer on the television sitcom Happy Together (2018).
Styles released his second album, Fine Line, in 2019. The album produced several singles, including “Lights Up” (2019), “Adore You” (2019), “Falling” (2020), “Watermelon Sugar” (2020), “Golden” (2020), and “Treat People with Kindness” (2021). “Watermelon Sugar” became his first number-one single in the United States and won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance in 2021. Styles supported the album with the concert tour Love On Tour, which began in 2021 after delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, he also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals in a cameo role as Eros / Starfox.
In 2022, Styles released his third studio album, Harry’s House. Its lead single, “As It Was,” topped charts in multiple countries and became one of the best-selling singles of the year globally. The album won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 65th Grammy Awards and British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards. That year he also starred in the films Don’t Worry Darling (2022) and My Policeman (2022). During the same period, Love On Tour became one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, concluding in 2023.
In 2026, Styles released his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. (2026), preceded by the single “Aperture.” He also announced Together, Together, a series of concert residencies in multiple cities. That same year, Styles was named curator of the 31st edition of the Meltdown Festival at London’s Southbank Centre, where he also served as a headlining performer.
