Cheyenne Jackson Biography

Cheyenne Jackson is an American actor and singer. His credits include leading roles on Broadway, film and television roles, concert performances, and music recordings.

Jackson first appeared on Broadway as an understudy in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Aida. He then originated the role of Matthew in the workshop production of Altar Boyz. His first leading role on Broadway was in All Shook Up in 2005, which earned him a Theatre World Award for "Outstanding Broadway Debut". Since then, he has starred in The Agony & the Agony, Xanadu (2007; Drama League, Drama Desk nominations), Damn Yankees, Finian's Rainbow (2010; Drama Desk nomination), 8, The Heart of the Matter, and The Performers.

Jackson has also appeared in films, including the 2006 Academy Award-nominated United 93, Mutual Friends, and guest roles in television series such as NBC's 30 Rock and Fox's Glee. Jackson starred in the FX horror anthology television series American Horror Story in its fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth seasons. Jackson also appeared on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race alongside RuPaul, Todrick Hall, Michelle Visage, and Carson Kressley. He then appeared for a mini-challenge in Season 10 and made his third appearance in season 11.

Jackson also stars as Hades in Disney Channel's Descendants 3. In 2020, he reunited with Descendants alumni Sofia Carson and director Kenny Ortega in Netflix's Julie and the Phantoms.
