The cast is simply amazing; in fact, the craftsmanship on every level from acting to technical details to house management is remarkable. Review: STRAIGHT NO CHASER'S HOLIDAY ROAD at Palace Theatre
by Paul Batterson - Dec 5, 2025

Straight No Chaser has been a holiday tradition with many repeat attenders because their show doesn’t easily fit into a preset gift box. They are either a comedy group that harmonizes extremely well or an a cappella group that thrives because it doesn’t take itself too seriously. If you take away either skill, SNC would ferment quicker than eight day old eggnog.

Though the Milwaukee Rep is presenting its 50th season of 'A Christmas Carol,' this year, the current production has the freshness and energy of a debut. Review: ELF THE MUSICAL at Broadway In Chicago
by Rachel Weinberg - Dec 4, 2025

Thanks to Buddy the Elf, ELF THE MUSICAL has plenty of holiday cheer. Jack Ducat has large shoes to fill as the beloved film character Buddy, a now adult man raised on the North Pole by Santa (Andrew Hendrick) and his elves— who must then venture into the wilds of New York City to meet his human father. Will Ferrell’s performance in the original 2003 film is embedded in the holiday movie zeitgeist — so it’s a big ask.
