Ben Fankhauser is an actor, singer, writer, and educator whose career has spanned Broadway, national tours, Off-Broadway, television, and cabaret. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he earned his BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College.
Fankhauser made his Broadway debut originating the role of Davey in Newsies The Musical, later reprising the role for the show's filmed stage version. Before Newsies, he toured the country as Ernst in the first national tour of Spring Awakening. He later returned to the road as Barry Mann in the first national tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. His additional stage credits include Ghost of John McCain at Soho Playhouse and Bar Mitzvah Boy at York Theatre.

Hairspray is bringing its unstoppable beat to the round, and you do not want to miss Robbie Roby’s visionary direction and choreography of this bright spectacle of the best of the 60s. Based on the 1988 John Waters' movie that became a cult classic, Hairspray opened on Broadway in 2002. It took home eight Tony Award wins, including Best Musical. Its staying power can be credited to a memorable score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, and relatable themes in the book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan.

It’s so satisfying to see a musical that resonates emotionally with an audience, and Waitress is one of those musicals. From the writing to the performance, the entire audience was held rapt for the entire 2 1/2 hours, staying right with the performers as they traversed this well told story. There were gasps, applause, and exclamations of support, and a well deserved standing ovation at the end of it all. MTWichita told this story exceedingly well.

Muraoka is a great example of theatrical excellence. It is by and large a stationary set that allows for dynamic staging from Director Chris Coleman.
