Oklahoma! Revival

In 1943, a brand new musical from new composing team Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein astounded the world and changed Broadway forever. In 2019, the very same show returned over seven decades later with an equally astounding effect.

Damon Daunno of Oklahoma! is the latest to receive a Sardi's portrait! BroadwayWorld was there for the unveiling of the new addition to the wall at the famous restaurant, and you can check out the photos below!

Hollywood came to the Prairie this week as celebs caught up at the Tony Award winning Broadway revival of “Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!” at the Circle In the Square.  The hit musical will end its Broadway run as scheduled on Sunday, January 19th.

Two special R&H Goes Pop! Studio Sessions has been released, featuring Tony Award-winner Ali Stroker (Ado Annie) performing “The Surrey With The Fringe On Top,” and Rebecca Naomi Jones (Laurey Williams) performing “Lonely Room.”

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! had some special guests over the weekend. Jeanna de Waal, who will be starring in the new musical “Diana” this season caught the show and went backstage to congratulate the cast and from the world of science, Neil deGrasse Tyson brought his family to see the Tony winning musical. The entire cast was fascinated with Neil and had many questions about astrophysics and science which he graciously expounded on.

Oh What a Beautiful Evening! Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! celebrated its 250th performance at the Circle in the Square on Tuesday, November 12th with specially crafted cake pop celebration.  

Verdura Jewels and Chairman and President Ward and Nico Landrigan celebrated the legendary company's 80th Year with “Verdura at 80: Timeless Style” which introduced their 2019 Verdura Belperron Holiday Collections.

On Sunday, October 20, the new series Watchmen, starring Regina King, premiered on HBO. The series is set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws and it embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own.
