Mark Ruffalo

Mark Ruffalo made his screen debut on CBS Summer Playhouse (1989). He appeared in Due South (1994) and made his film debut in Mirror, Mirror II: Raven Dance (1994), followed by Mirror, Mirror III: The Voyeur (1995). He starred in the original off-Broadway cast of Kenneth Lonergan’s This Is Our Youth (1996).

His early film roles include The Dentist (1996), Safe Men (1998), Ride with the Devil (1999), and You Can Count on Me (2000). He appeared in The Last Castle (2001), XX/XY (2002), My Life Without Me (2003), Windtalkers (2003), In the Cut (2003), and We Don’t Live Here Anymore (2004).

From 2003–2005, he starred in View from the Top (2003), 13 Going on 30 (2004), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Collateral (2004), Just Like Heaven (2005), and Rumor Has It (2005).

In 2006, he appeared in All the King’s Men and made his Broadway debut in Awake and Sing! (2006). His subsequent film roles include Zodiac (2007), Reservation Road (2007), The Brothers Bloom (2008), Blindness (2008), What Doesn’t Kill You (2008), and Where the Wild Things Are (2009).

He made his feature directorial debut with Sympathy for Delicious (2010) and appeared in Shutter Island (2010) and The Kids Are All Right (2010). His later film work includes Begin Again (2013), Foxcatcher (2014), Infinitely Polar Bear (2015), Spotlight (2015), Now You See Me 2 (2016), Anything (2017, executive producer), and Dark Waters (2019, actor and producer).

On television, he starred in The Normal Heart (2014), I Know This Much Is True (2020, executive producer), All the Light We Cannot See (2023), and Task (2025).

Ruffalo joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Bruce Banner/The Hulk beginning with The Avengers (2012) and reprised the role in Iron Man 3 (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Captain Marvel (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022). He is set to reprise the role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026).

His stage work includes Awake and Sing! (2006) and The Price (2017). His recent film credits include Poor Things (2023) and Mickey 17 (2025).
