John Slattery

John Slattery's television credits include Homefront, where he played union organizer Al Kahn, and From the Earth to the Moon (1998), in which he portrayed Walter Mondale. He later appeared as Tommy Flannigan on K Street, Sam Truman on Will & Grace, Michael Cassidy on Judging Amy, Bill Kelley on Sex and the City, Dennis Martino on Ed, and Peter Benedict on Jack and Bobby. From 2007 to 2008, he played Victor Lang on Desperate Housewives.

He is perhaps best known for playing Roger Sterling in the AMC drama series Mad Men (2007–15), for which he was nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

Slattery's film credits include Sleepers (1996), Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004), Mona Lisa Smile (2003), Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Charlie Wilson's War (2007), and The Adjustment Bureau (2011). He also appeared in Spotlight (2015) as journalist Ben Bradlee Jr. and in the Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015).

In theater, Slattery portrayed Howie in David Lindsay-Abaire's Rabbit Hole.

Slattery made his feature directorial debut with God's Pocket (2014), which he co-wrote with Alex Metcalf. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014.

His audiobook narration credits include Don DeLillo's Falling Man (2007), Stephen King's Duma Key (2008), and Ernest Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms.

In 2025, Slattery portrayed Burton C. Andrus in the film Nuremberg.
