BIO
DAVID ENGEL-Broadway credits include Putting it Together, Seussical, and the original production of La Cage aux Folles. David created the role of Smudge in the original New York production of Forever Plaid, and again in Plaid Tidings and Forever Plaid: The Movie. He recently co-starred opposite Leslie Caron in the two-hander Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks at California's renowned Laguna Playhouse. He has played extensively around the country and the world and has starred in various productions such as Crazy For You, Kiss Me Kate, The Full Monty, Mary Poppins, La Cage aux Folles, Singin' in the Rain, White Christmas, and The Addams Family. David was also paired romantically opposite RuPaul in the award-winning cult musical short film Zombie Prom. He is a six-time recipient of the LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award and is a proud longtime member of Actors Equity Association.

During the recent opening night performance of Musical Theatre West's vibrant new production of the 10-time Tony Award-winning 1964 musical HELLO, DOLLY!, the enthusiastically appreciative audience might as well have chanted 'Hello, Tami!' judging from the reactions during the show's finalé bows. Making her long-awaited return to a Southern California musical theatre stage production after quite a long absence, local favorite Tami Tappan Damiano is nothing short of brilliant taking on the title role in a gorgeous, earnestly joy-filled new local revival of the classic musical, which continues performances at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, CA through November 2.
