National Sawdust, the acclaimed non-profit that commissions, produces, and presents genre-spanning new music and interdisciplinary works, has announced that it has purchased its building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and revealed the programming that will animate the venue this fall.

Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival marks its 40th summer season in 2023. Long Island's longest-running classical music festival celebrates this milestone with 11 concerts, July 16 – August 13, that showcase a theme of “Beethoven as Innovator” alongside six of the festival's favorite works from four decades of commissioning new music: pieces by Elizabeth Brown, Kenji Bunch, Eric Ewazen, Bruce MacCombie, Kevin Puts, and Ned Rorem.
For its 2023 Spring Fête, Soho Rep will honor Obie winner, MacArthur Fellow, two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, and Soho Rep board member Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, in a performance-packed evening directed by Raja Feather Kelly.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has announced its 2023-24 season, which celebrates the passing of the artistic torch and the theme of Legacy, with the final farewell concerts of two esteemed American string quartets, both with long histories at CMS.
Two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Branden Jacobs-Jenkins has made his television debut with a series adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s seminal 1979 sci-fi novel Kindred. BroadwayWorld caught up with Jenkins, who is known for his plays like An Octoroon, Gloria, War, Appropriate, Neighbors and Everybody, to discuss the new series.

After a pandemic-induced hiatus of two years, Bridgehampton Chamber Music’s BCM Spring series returns in 2022 with three early-evening Saturday concerts in March, April, and May. With its four-week summer festival and the successful launch of BCM Autumn, a two-concert fall series, this past November, Long Island’s longest-running classical music festival now has close to a year-round presence in its East End home.
Second Stage Theater's production of Lynn Nottage's new play CLYDE'S opened just last night, Tuesday November 23, 2021, at Second Stage's Broadway home, the Hayes Theater (240 W 44th Street at 8th Avenue).
Nollywood Dreams, the first production of MCC's 2021-22 season, began previews at the Newman Mills Theater on October 21, 2021. Directed by Saheem Ali (Fires in The Mirror), Nollywood Dreams opened on November 11, 2021 and will play a limited run through November 28, 2021.
New York Theatre Workshop announced today that Sanctuary City, written by Pulitzer Prize winner, NYTW Usual Suspect and former 2050 Fellow Martyna Majok (Cost of Living, queens) and directed by Rebecca Frecknall (Summer and Smoke), will be available for streaming from Monday October 25 through Sunday November 21, 2021.
