Wendell Pierce is an Obie Award-winning actor best known for his portrayals on HBO’s groundbreaking series “The Wire” and “Treme,” and “Suits” on USA. He currently stars in Amazon Prime’s “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.” He reprises his Olivier-nominated portrayal of Willy Loman from the Death of a Salesman London production. Other Broadway credits: The Boys of Winter, The Piano Lesson, Serious Money and Clybourne Park (Tony Award for Best Play, Producer). Emmy, Grammy & Academy Award winner Common has been added to the list of honorees at Black Theatre United's inaugural Gala on Monday, October 30 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom.
The new season will include Tony Danza reprising his role of Italian mobster Stefano Marchetti, and of course, returning series regulars including the formidable Patina Miller as “Raquel Thomas” and MeKai Curtis in the titular role of “Kanan Stark.” Broadway alum Hailey Kilgore will also return to the series as “Jukebox.”
Kristin Chenoweth, Annaleigh Ashford, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Ashley Park, and more have been nominated for Hollywood Critics Association Television Awards. Other nominees included Sheryl Lee Ralph, Daniel Radcliffe, Rachel Brosnahan, Hocus Pocus 2, Amy Sherman-Palladino, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and more.
