BIO
Lorne Michaels is a writer and producer who has worked extensively in TV and film but is best known as the creator and executive producer of the landmark NBC show "Saturday Night Live." He made his Broadway debut in 1979 directing Gilda Radner - Live from New York, and he is pleased to return to Broadway with Tina Fey, whom he met when she began as a writer for "SNL." Their subsequent work together includes the critically acclaimed series "30 Rock," as well as the films Mean Girls, Baby Mama, and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Other notable film credits include Three Amigos, Wayne's World and Tommy Boy. Honors include 15 Emmy awards, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, a Personal Peabody Award, the Order of Canada, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
