The play examines how social media can transform perceptions of reality and of ourselves and those around us.

Coming-of-age music-comedy Electric Jesus continues to charm audiences and critics at film festivals across the country. The soundtrack Electric Jesus (Music From and Inspired by the Motion Picture) will be released digitally on Joyful Noise Recordings on 2/26/21.

Broadway Rose Theatre Company has announced that it will mount the musical The Story of My Life, and make it available for streaming February 5 - 28. Rentals are $25 per household for a 48-hour rental and will go on sale January 6. $5 tickets are available for Oregon Trail Card holders through the Arts for All program.

 The Wilbury Theatre Group will present the world premiere of The Race by Mark Binder, directed by Brien Lang.  This challenging new play, done in an emerging new performance medium, examines the common, and sometimes uncommon, obstacles of a high-pressure corporate interview dance in the Zoom era.

St. Ann’s Warehouse will present Julian Alexander & Khadijat Oseni’s Supremacy Project, a public art project addressing the systemic oppression and violence BIPOC communities are fighting to end through art.

Joining this year’s virtual version of the Sundance Film Festival, The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) adds Mikel Jollett (Airborne Toxic Event), Pedrito Martinez, Hailey Whitters, Ron and Russell Mael (SPARKS) and The Sparks Brothers director Edgar Wright to the lineup.

SYMPHONIE FANTASTIQUE – Basil Twist's now-legendary underwater puppet production set in a 1,000-gallon fish tank   – will be released as a film on VIDEO ON DEMAND December 18, it has been announced by Mr. Twist, who makes his full-length film directorial debut.  Created for the theater by Mr. Twist in 1998, SYMPHONIE FANTASTIQUE is set to the celebrated classic score of Hector Berlioz's 19th century composition. 

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent work selected across the Feature Film, Short Film, Indie Series and New Frontier categories for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

The Shed's digital commissioning program Up Close continues with new works by Mariana Valencia premiering on November 16, Ayesha Jordan with collaborator Justin Hicks premiering on November 30, and The Brothers Sick with collaborators Danilo Machado and Yo-Yo Lin premiering on December 14.

Glimmerglass Film Days begins this Thursday, November 5 with the Opening Film The Seer and the Unseen (Sara Dosa, 2019, Iceland, 82 min).
