Chavkin is a director, writer and artistic director of the TEAM. Hadestown (NYTW, National Theatre, London) has been one of her greatest joys. Her first film, Remind Me, was an official selection of the Venice and Beverly Hills Film Festivals. 2017 Smithsonian Award for Ingenuity.
In 2019-2020, she will direct Malloy’s Moby Dick at A.R.T. She is a proud NYTW Usual Suspect and Member SDC. Chavkin earned her BFA at NYU where she now serves on the directing faculty at Playwrights Horizons Theater School, and earned her MFA at Columbia University.
