Kathleen Turner rose to prominence with her role as Matty Walker in Body Heat (1981). Her film career includes leading roles in Romancing the Stone (1984), Prizzi’s Honor (1985), Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), which earned her an Academy Award nomination for best actress, The War of the Roses (1989), and the voice role of Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988).
Turner made her Broadway debut in 1978 in Gemini. Her stage credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1990), Indiscretions (1995), The Graduate, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, High (2010), and Bakersfield Mist (2014). She has also appeared in productions at major regional theaters, including Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins, Mother Courage and Her Children, and The Year of Magical Thinking.
Her television work includes roles on Friends, Californication, and The Path, as well as voice acting on animated series such as The Simpsons and King of the Hill.
