ANNIE JR. Opens At Artisan Children's Theater This Christmas

Artisan Children's Theater proudly presents ANNIE JR. at its 148 seat Second Stage facility. The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. The show runs Friday, November 15, 2019 through Saturday, December 21, 2019. Performances are Fridays at 5:00pm and Saturdays at 10:00am and 12:00pm. Additional 12:00pm performances on December 10 and 17, and additional 10am and 12pm performances December 20. No 5pm performance December 20. Reserved seating tickets are $7.00 for children 12 and under and $13.00 for adults. The box office number is 817-284-1200. More information can be found on the website at ArtisanCT.com.

Soul Rep Theatre Company's a?oeluckya?? 13th season of plays a?" SOUL TO KEEP - continues with the regional premiere of Colman Domingo's DOT, a serio-comedy about a family facing Alzheimer's. The production, directed by company co-founder, Anyika McMillan-Herod, and starring a dynamic ensemble of actors that include Catherine Whiteman, Renee Miche'al, Yusef Miller, Brandy Kae, Jaquai Wade, Satchel Victory, and Sergio Garcia, will run December 5 a?" 22 at the South Dallas Cultural Center, located at 3400 S. Fitzhugh Avenue, adjacent to Fair Park. The production is funded in part by a generous ArtsActivate 2020 grant from the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.

The Chicken Ranch has shut down and is making the way for the Hundred Acre Wood in downtown Arlington, as Theatre Arlington turns their attention to children and families, with the musical, Winnie the Pooh, written by Steven D. Morris with music by Don Powers. This adaptation of A.A. Milne's classic story brings Winnie, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Christopher Robin and all their friends to life and was originally written and staged by Steven D. Morris and Don Powers in 1986. At that time, Morris was the theater's first Children's Theatre Director and was frustrated by the lack of entertaining scripts for children, so a few years earlier he set out to create his own with his talented friend, Don Powers, who composed all the new music.
