When the Soady family gathers at their Upper Peninsula camp for opening day of deer season, 35-year-old Reuben Soady arrives carrying a distinction he’d rather not have: he’s the oldest Soady ever to miss out on bagging a buck. Determined to shake his infamous status, Reuben dives headfirst into a hunting escapade that quickly spirals into legend. In a story that outdoes every campfire tale before it, Escanaba in Da Moonlight delivers a wildly funny mix of humor, horror, and heart as Reuben will stop at nothing to rewrite his place in family history.
