Selected Regional: Twelfth Night (Valentine, Center Stage, dir. Gavin Witt), The Cripple of Inishmaan (Cripple Billy, Actor's Theatre of Charlotte, dir. Craig Spradley). Drena succeeds her predecessor, Ryan McCurdy, who served as transitional Executive Artistic Director from 2021 - 2023 as part of a strategic move to align the company's leadership structure with its evolving Mission and Vision.

THE NERD is frankly still THE NERD, and the director, Brandon Weinbrenner, doesn’t reinvent much of anything. There’s nothing new or fresh, and the script is presented almost as if it would have run back in 1981. There is no discernable reason to remount this show save for the idea that it was fun back in the day.
