VIDEO: Sneak Peek at MISS TERI, New Webseries from ONCE's Erikka Walsh, Katrina Lenk and Scott Stangland
MISS TERI is an offbeat comedy about three misfit musicians who look to the stars to find their way. The series is co-created by and features Erikka Walsh (as Dan), Katrina Lenk (as Meta) and Scott Stangland (as Brodie). The three met while performing in the Tony Award-winning musical ONCE. What happens when someone hands you the key to your future? Would you take it, or is it better left alone? When Dan reveals to her bandmate, Meta, that her mother is an eerily accurate astrologist, they decide to take that key. Well, mostly. Joined by accordionist friend Brodie, the three misfit musicians use/abuse astrology to navigate their lives in NYC. Each day poses a new challenge, and a new horoscope, that more often than not, comes painfully true.
Other cast members include Claire Wellin, Lucas Papaelias, Andrew Rothenberg, Ryan McCurdy, Ben Hope, Stephen Michael Spencer. Directed by Scott Stangland, the series is edited by G. Jesse Martinez, with sound design by Zlatko Makic, original music composed by Walsh, Lenk and Stangland, additional musci by Youth in a Roman Field, and director of photography David Allen.
The web series will premiere the pilot and launch a crowd funding campaign on Sunday, October 25 at 8pm at The Living Room, 134 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11249. The evening will include a screening of the first episode of MISS TERI and include performances by Sully and the Benevolent Folk, moxy phinx, Youth in a Roman Field, Joe Jung and Matt Wolpe. The crowd funding campaign funds will be used to complete filming for season one of the web series in spring 2016.
