CM Performing Arts Center Reveals Cast for SHREK THE MUSICAL

The CM Performing Arts Center will present Shrek The Musical from November 1–22, 2025. Starring James O'Connor as Shrek and Cassie Friedman as Princess Fiona, the production features a full cast of fairytale favorites and is directed by Anthony Arpino.

Following the announcement of several performers including Milly Shapiro (Hereditary, Matilda), Catherine Brunell (Something Rotten, Les Miserables), and Mallory Bechtel (Hereditary, Dear Evan Hansen). the line up just keeps growing! Joining this already power-packed cast includes Kimberly Marable (Hadestown), Analise Scarpaci (A Christmas Story, Matilda), Laurissa a?oeLalaa?? Romain (South Pacific), and emcee for the evening, Terra C MacLeod (Chicago). They will raise money for the newly established 501c3 non-profit organization Sekhmet Sisterhood, devoted to empowering women to make a difference and change the world by banding together, sharing experiences and supporting each other. Two Thousand Miles is an original musical with a book by Alyssa Williams with Morgan Bartholick, music & lyrics by Hans Zanger and Matthew DeMaria with some arrangements by Brian Fitzsoua. The performance will be benefitting the Arthritis Foundation's annual Walk to Cure Arthritis.

The Henri Bendel Fifth Avenue flagship hosted a NYFW benefit event for NoBully.org to raise funds and awareness for anti-bullying efforts and BroadwayWorld was there! The event was organized by Carrie Berk (NYMF 2017 Award for Outstanding Individual Performance) and the all-kid cast of the New York Musical Festival's Peace, Love and Cupcakes: The Musical. The show joined forces with No Bully this summer and was awarded a special NYMF citation for turning a musical into a full-fledged social inclusivity movement.
