Review: BABY RAINDEER at Capitol Musical Theatre, Wroclaw
by Natalia Jarczynska - Jun 15, 2026

The show isn't long - and neither will this text be. But the truth is, it stays with you long after you've left the theatre. Longer than you'd expect from something so compact. Jan Kowalewski made this show an intensive pleasure full of surprises - like an espresso with caramel (is that even a thing? It is now). His talent and range brought the whole production to another level entirely.

New works are the lifeblood of the theatre. Few recent productions embody that spirit more fully than The Common Ground, an original play by young playwrights Maddie Holdway and Adam Lucas.

Review: MEAN GIRLS at Seacoast Repertory Theatre
by Dan Marois - Jun 15, 2026

Based on Tina Fey's (of Saturday Night Live fame) wildly popular 2004 film, Mean Girls wisely embraces what made the original such a phenomenon while bringing enough energy and personality to succeed on stage. Like many movie adaptations, however, it occasionally struggles to escape comparisons to the film, particularly when it comes to length. The original movie clocked in at a brisk 97 minutes. The stage version, with intermission, stretches close to three hours, and the second act occasionally feels every bit of it. That's a challenge in today's attention-deficit world.

Review: TAMING OF THE SHREW at The Weekend Theater in Little Rock
by Theresa Bertram - Jun 15, 2026

I must admit that The Taming of the Shrew has never been my favorite Shakespeare play. I've always appreciated its place in theatrical history, but it wasn't one I found myself eagerly revisiting. Then Darby Lytle and the incredible cast at The Weekend Theater came along and completely wrecked my opinion in the best possible way.
