BIO
Cara Delevingne began her modeling career after signing with Storm Management in 2009. She appeared in Burberry’s spring/summer 2011 campaign and made her runway debut at London Fashion Week in February 2011 for Burberry Prorsum. In 2012, she walked in major fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris for brands including Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, and Louis Vuitton. She appeared in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in November 2012 and again in 2013. She also participated in Chanel’s pre-fall 2013 show in Scotland and its Cruise show in Singapore. In 2014, she opened Chanel’s Haute Couture Spring 2014 show and modeled for brands including Fendi, Stella McCartney, Givenchy, and Yves Saint Laurent. She appeared in advertising campaigns for Burberry in 2014 and YSL Beauté, DKNY, Tag Heuer, Alexander Wang, and Mango in 2015. In 2016, she became the face of Rimmel and continued modeling for brands including Chanel, Marc Jacobs, YSL, and Puma. She also designed a capsule collection for DKNY released in October 2014 and multiple collections for Mulberry, with the latest released June 3, 2015.
Delevingne began her acting career with a role as Princess Sorokina in the 2012 film Anna Karenina. In 2013, she voiced a radio DJ in the video game Grand Theft Auto V. She appeared in the 2014 film The Face of an Angel, the television anthology Playhouse Presents in June 2014, and the Channel 4 comedy special The Feeling Nuts Comedy Night in October 2014. She also appeared in music videos including Die Antwoord’s “Ugly Boy” in 2014. In 2015, she starred as Margo Roth Spiegelman in Paper Towns and appeared in the film Pan. In 2016, she played Enchantress in Suicide Squad and appeared in Kids in Love. She filmed Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets beginning in 2015, with release in 2017. She also appeared in the films Tulip Fever and London Fields. She starred as Vignette Stonemoss in the Amazon Prime Video series Carnival Row, which premiered in 2019, and joined the cast of Only Murders in the Building in 2022. She is scheduled to make her stage debut as Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret beginning March 11, 2024.
In music and media, Delevingne recorded a duet cover of “Sonnentanz” with Will Heard in 2013 and performed the song “CC the World” with Pharrell Williams for the 2014 short film Reincarnation. She released the song “I Feel Everything” in 2017 for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and contributed background vocals to St. Vincent’s 2017 album Masseduction and Fiona Apple’s 2020 album Fetch the Bolt Cutters. She made her debut as a novelist with the young adult book Mirror, Mirror in October 2017. In December 2022, she starred in the BBC Three documentary series Planet Sex.
