Brad Alexander

Brad is an award-winning composer and songwriter for TV and theater.

His screen credits include Lead Composer for the recent animated reboot of CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG (Scholastic/Amazon/PBS Kids), five episodes of PBS’s Emmy Award-winning PEG + CAT, VH1’s “Celebreality” campaign, SUBMISSIONS ONLY and Showtime’s THE L WORD.

Brad wrote the music for DOG MAN: THE MUSICAL, based on the worldwide best-selling books by Dav Pilkey. The show premiered Off-Broadway and is currently touring North America and Australia. Book and lyrics by Kevin Del Aguila, directed by Jen Wineman.

Also touring North America is CAT KID COMIC CLUB: THE MUSICAL, adapted from Dav Pilkey’s DOG MAN hit spin-off book series. Music and orchestrations by Brad. Book and lyrics by Kevin Del Aguila. Directed by Marlo Hunter.

Brad teamed up with Kevin Del Aguila, Billy Aronson and director John Rando for CLICK, CLACK, MOO (Drama Desk and Lortel nominations) and collaborated with Kevin on WE THE PEOPLE: AMERICA ROCKS! (Lortel nomination).

Brad and book-writer/lyricist Adam Mathias wrote the Off-Broadway musical SEE ROCK CITY & OTHER DESTINATIONS, recipient of The Richard Rodgers Award, The BMI Foundation Jerry Bock Award, Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical, and six Drama Desk Award nominations including Outstanding Music.

Brad is a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, SAG-AFTRA, The Dramatists Guild, and The National Alliance for Musical Theatre.
