APOCALYPSE DUDES

BIO:
Apocalypse Dudes was founded late in 2005. Jonas Falck Evensen, the bassist, got the idea. Dudes’ current members are: Nicolai Vestad Codling (vocal) (18), Jonas Falck Evensen (base) (17), Ole Petter Christensen (lead guitar) (17), Per Jamtveit Mahtiassen (rythm guitar) (17) an Olav Rømcke (drums) (16). In Fall 2006 Apocalypse Dudes won “Global Battle of the Bands” in Drammen, Norway. Already in 2006 Dudes played together with Turbonegro at Union Stage in Drammen. Apocalypse Dudes have figured in about 40 stories in newspapers in Norway, and they have made their own EP. Are soon finishing a new EP, and will make their own album in 2009. In 2007 they were guests at Symphoniums (FM 105,5) radioshow in 20 minutes and they played four of their songs. In the review of their demo-EP at Symphonium’s homepage they wrote: “Hope for rock in Drammen”. They figured in the national radiostation NRK P1 the same year, before the job with Turbonegro. They have figured in about 50 rock-events in Drammen, Oslo, Bærum, Hurum and Asker. In July 2007 they got Drammen communitys culturscholarship (10.000 NKr.). In October 2007 they were booked by Turbonegro to play at Turbos party at Last Train in Oslo. Only one group played: Apocalypse Dudes. In august 2008 Dudes played for 3000 rockfans outdoors under The River Festival in Drammen, Norway. Among the members of their fanclub is: Thomas Seltzer (”Happy-Tom” in Turbonegro), Vegard Thomas Olsen (”Shortcut”), the songwriter and former The Tuesdays-frontrunner Laila Samuelsen and songwriter Lars Kilevold. A review in the newspaper Drammens Tidende told the readers in 2008, after a concert at Buddy in Drammen: “The most promising rockband i Norway”. And: “Apocalypse Dudes will hit their heads in the roof of norwegian rock history if they continue their progress”. In november 2008 they got Buskerud countys culturscolarship. 10.000 Nkr. Vant “Battle of the bands” i Drammen i 2006. Bandmedl.: Ole Petter Christensen (17), Jonas Falck Evensen (17), Olav Rømcke(16), Nicolai Codling (18) og Per J. Mathiassen (17). Fikk i 2007 Drammen kommunes kulturstipend på 10.000 kr. Fikk i 2008 Buskerud fylkeskommunes kulturstipend på 10.000 kr. Slipper ny EP i april 2009. Nytt album i juli 2009. Spilte under lanseringspartyet for den offisielle Turboneger-biografien på Last Train i Oslo 23. oktober 2007. “TRBNGR - Sagaen om denimfolket” er skrevet av Håkon Moslet. Suksess! Spilte til inntekt for Jentevakta under Drammens Tidendes julekalender på Bragernes torg i Drammen søndag 9. desember 2007. Rekordpublikum! Startet innspillingen av ny EP i Peak Lydstudio fredag 11. januar 2008. Har spilt over 50 konserter på to år, de fleste utenfor Drammen. Har mange fans i Asker og Bærum. Fikk terningkast 4 for konserten på Buddy 2. april 2008, vår første anmeldelse.
