Bursting with energy and pulsating with a heartwarming story of forgiveness and family, Maine State Music Theatre’s new production of FOOTLOOSE serves up both a genuinely poignant tale and a dance extravaganza.  The new production, directed by E. Faye Butler and choreographed by Tyler Hanes, the first revival since 2014 of the 2008 musical by Tom Snow, Dean Pitchford, and Walter Bobbei, offers a new deeper, more probing and more compelling take on this timeless story of teen rebellion, generational conflict, and a journey to forgiveness.

When Footloose dances onto the stage at Maine State Music Theatre this summer, it brings more than high kicks, power ballads, and iconic '80s fashion. Under the direction of E. Faye Butler, the production taps into the heart of what makes the story resonate: community, resilience, and the courage to challenge the status quo.

The Spotlight Kidz 'Songs of Hope' cabaret will be held this Sunday, May 4th at The Green Room 42 in NYC. This benefit event for Door of Hope will feature talented youth and teens from the Spotlight Kidz community and special guests the Sharpe Family Singers.
