One of the largest and most renowned regional theatres in the country, Seattle Repertory Theatre produces a mix of classics, recent Broadway hits and cutting-edge new works in two theatre spaces.
Since our founding in 1963, actors like Lawrence Fishburne, Lily Tomlin, Samuel L. Jackson, Meryl Streep, Richard Gere, Richard Chamberlain, Jessica Tandy, Christopher Walken and many more have all "walked the boards" at the Rep.
Perhaps even more importantly, the Rep has been an artistic home for countless Seattle artists. Actors like Suzanne Bouchard, David Pichette, John Aylward, R. Hamilton Wright, and many more have built their careers on our stages.
We've premiered plays by August Wilson, Neil Simon, John Patrick Shanley, Wendy Wasserstein, Sarah Ruhl and many others, and some of the world's top directors, designers and artisans have brought our shows to life. Through our Yes Project we continue to foster the next generation of artists.
And we were proud to receive the 1990 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre (that's one you can only win once).

Meet the Cast of Mike & Mindy's Wild Weekend Jam (Music & Lyrics by Bucky Heard & Timothy D. Lee of The Righteous Brothers with a book by Eileen Nelson & Mark Corallo; directed by Scott Werntz).
He’s a Seattle favorite. He inspires magic and wonder and just brings a smile to the faces of those who see him. No, I’m not talking about Justin Huertas, composer of the locally (and beyond) renowned musical “Lizard Boy” (about to make its Off-Broadway premiere in NYC, by the way), although I might as well be. No, I’m referring to the Fremont staple of the Troll statue under the Aurora Bridge. That devilish creature clutching a Volkswagen Beetle is beloved by all who pass through. Well now Huertas has come along with his own take on how this stone giant came to be, with his long awaited “Lydia and the Troll”, currently playing at the Seattle Rep. And a few technical issues aside, it’s just more wonderful from this up-and-coming composer who is about to take New York by storm.
