It’s 90 degrees today), which means the return of theatre season and the coming-to-life once again of Rochester’s premiere regional theatre, Geva. And what better way to kick-off the season than with a timeless classic known to all, “The Wizard of Oz”, albeit flashier, sassier, and—somehow—probably even more heartwarming than the version you grew up watching.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center will present A MONKEY AND ME: STORIES I NEVER TOLD MY MOTHER, a new musical comedy by New Jersey playwright, composer and lyricist Jonathan Brielle Holtzman, from June 24-30. In this show, Holtzman portrays himself opposite TV and Broadway legend Tovah Feldshuh as his mother. It also stars the award-winning actress, Veanne Cox, as his “monkey.”

Kentwood Players to Stage CLUE
The Kentwood Players are set to present the murder mystery comedy CLUE, adapted from the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price based on the Paramount Pictures Motion Picture, based on the Hasbro board game Clue. Directed by Daniel Kruger and produced by Alison Boole, Michele Selin and Brian Wells for Kentwood Players, with rights secured from Broadway Licensing. Featured in the cast (in alphabetical order) are Ben Billand, Nathan Gebhard, Michael Mullen, Aidan Petoyan, Anica Petrovic, Catherine Rahm, Jennifer Sanchez, Kaitlyn Schott, Sean Spencer, and Amanda Webb.

Jennifer Sanchez, Intel's Arizona Community Affairs Manager, has joined the Chandler Cultural Foundation Board, which provides oversight for the Chandler Center for the Arts (CCA). Intel has a long relationship with Chandler Center for the Arts, with company employees serving on the Chandler Cultural Foundation Board since the Center's inception in 1989.
