The story of Pretty Woman enters on the down-on-her-luck Hollywood prostitute Vivian Ward (Roberts) who is hired by a wealthy businessman, Edward Lewis (Gere), to be his escort for several business and social functions, and their developing relationship over the course of Vivian's week-long stay with him.

Utah Opera's newly refurbished and ever-popular production features scenic elements designed by Peter Dean Beck and costumes by Susan Memmott Allred. Garnett Bruce will direct the production, and Steven White will conduct the cast, Utah Opera Chorus, and Utah Symphony. Utah Opera's performances of a?oeLa traviataa?? will take place in the newly renovated Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre on October 12 at 7:30 PM, October 14 and 16 at 7 PM, October 18 at 7:30 PM and October 20 at 2 PM. This production will be sung in Italian with English supertitles. Tickets priced $29-106 are available for purchase through utahopera.org or by calling (801) 533-6683. Producers of the Off-Broadway return of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS have instituted a new daily schedule for the show's in-person ticket lottery. Beginning with the drawing for the Saturday, September 28 evening performance, the new lottery timeline for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will be as follows: entries open 90 minutes prior to each scheduled curtain time at the Westside Theatre box office (407 W. 43rd St, NYC), and winners will be drawn 55 minutes prior to the scheduled curtain time. This will be instituted throughout the musical's run.

Last week, many fans who couldn't fit in the theater got to enjoy part of the final performance of THE PROM courtesy of Beth Leavel's personal publicist. Lisa Goldberg, founder of her own LSG Public Relations, put up on her social media pages two-minutes-20-seconds of Leavel singing the song 'The Lady's Improving' with a note that said she recorded six minutes ('including 1.5 minutes of entrance applause') and 'received full permission to post.' The shaky video was clearly shot from a seat in the theater, which would generally be forbidden if there was no permission. So what kind of permission do you need to do this in a Broadway show? Well, it is more than a 'sure' from a producer.
