Daniel Oreskes

Daniel Oreskes is an American stage, film, and television actor whose career has spanned Broadway, Off-Broadway, and screen. On Broadway, he has appeared in Crazy He Calls Me (1992), The Song of Jacob Zulu (1993), Electra (1998), Aida (2000), Cymbeline (2007), Billy Elliot: The Musical (2008), The Miracle Worker (2010), Oslo (2017), the revival of West Side Story (2020), and Prayer for the French Republic (2024). In Oslo, he portrayed Shimon Peres and Yair Hirshfeld, and he played Doc in West Side Story.

His Off-Broadway work includes productions such as Henry IV, Part I (1991), Henry IV, Part II (1991), Othello (1991), ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore (1992), Troilus and Cressida (1995), Quills (1995), Henry V (1996), The Devils (1997), Cellini (2001), The Fourth Sister (2002), Julius Caesar (2003), Henry V (2003), Roar (2004), Terrorism (2005), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2007), A Perfect Future (2011), Russian Transport (2012), The Twenty-Seventh Man (2012), The Revisionist (2013), Hir (2015), Oslo (2016), The White Devil (2019), Happy Talk (2019), The Seagull/Woodstock, NY (2023), and King of the Jews (2023). His work has also included roles in productions of Cymbeline, Julius Caesar, and other classical and contemporary plays.

On screen, Oreskes has appeared in films including Manhattan by Numbers (1993), The Devil’s Advocate (1997), The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), Happy End (2003), Day Zero (2007), Uncertainty (2008), Off Jackson Avenue (2008), Coming Up Roses (2011), Abe (2019), A Real Pain (2024), and Mountainhead (2025). His television credits include appearances on Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Ray Donovan, Only Murders in the Building, and Elsbeth (2024–2025), where he played Detective Buzz Fleming.
