The play starts out looking like a normal family comedy but quickly turns into something else entirely. Imagine sitting down for what seems like a standard TV sitcom about a Black family, and then suddenly everything you thought you knew gets turned upside down. It's funny, shocking, and confronting.

(03/03/2025) - David Ives’s new version of Georges Feydeau’s farce, A Flea in Her Ear is an ambitious three-act play for any small theater, but the Brookfield Theatre more than rises to it. Named one of the greatest farces ever written, it takes a lot to mount the play. You need a stage large enough to accommodate a cast of 14 players and part of a set that turns.
