The performance is an exploration of musical transformations, beginning with Korngold's final work, his unabashedly cinematic Theme and Variations. Hsin-Hao Yang, winner of the Dallas International Piano Competition 2018, joins the orchestra on Liszt's formidable First Piano Concerto No. 1, an architectural marvel that exudes flair and expressivity. The season closes with Beethoven's groundbreaking Symphony No. 5. Anne Bothwell, Vice President Arts at KERA, will provide opening remarks.

The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.Performances are at 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with 3:00pm matinees on Saturdays beginning April 20. Reserved seating tickets are $28.00 for adults, $26.00 for students and seniors, and $16.00 for children 12 and under.  Monday through Thursday tickets are $26.00 for adults and $14.00 for children 12 and under. Katori Hall is an Olivier Award-winning playwright from Memphis, Tennessee. HURT VILLAGE, the fourth in her series of 'Memphis Plays,' is currently being developed into a feature film.

Producer Lauren Class Schneider, creator of '12,000 Voices' announced that more than 60 groups in 54 cities in 23 states (plus one in Canada,) will present a reading of '12 Angry Men' performed by 12 Impassioned Women between April 5th and April 8th, 2019. The cities include New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Ketchikan, Alaska; Duluth, Minnesota; Lewiston, Idaho; Everett, Washington; Lubbock, Texas; Appleton, Wisconsin and Courtenay, BC in Canada. Each reading will include voter registration and many also include a panel discussion. Rover Dramawerks Announces Fifth Annual Women's Play Festival

For the fifth straight year, Rover Dramawerks is pleased to partner with the playwrights' group 365 Women a Year to present a festival of plays about women, for everyone. This international playwriting coalition, founded by Jess Eisenberg, involves playwrights across the world who have signed on to write one or more plays about extraordinary women in both past and present history. The project's ambitious yet focused goal is to write women back into the social consciousness, as well as empower and promote female playwrights, and plant seeds of herstory around the country.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director, Shane Peterman, today announced the Company will produce a special limited-engagement run of Stephen Schwartz's beloved musical, Godspell. Inspired by parables taken from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, Godspell offers a fun, modern take on classic stories mixed with a vibrant score of pop, folk, and gospel music that brings these iconic stories to life for audiences of all ages. This production, the first to be selected by Peterman, will replace the previously scheduled Origin Story.
