BIO

A Tony-winning producer, Jenny Steingart produces theater, film, and television. Recent productions include Freestyle Love Supreme on Broadway (Special Tony Award), the US Tour and at the Venetian in Las Vegas; Mean Girls on Broadway and US Tour; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812; Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish; and Sir Patrick Stewart's A Christmas Carol. She most recently produced the documentary We Are Freestyle Love Supreme, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and is currently on Hulu. She produced the cult film Black Dynamite and the subsequent animated television series on Adult Swim, and is the co-founding partner of the Japanese animation studio Ultra Super Pictures (Trigger, Sanzigen, Ordet and Liden Films). She is a partner in FLS+, an entertainment and training company serving the consumer, corporate and educational markets. FLS+ bridges the improvisational methodologies of Freestyle Love Supreme (founded by Tommy Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda & Anthony Veneziale).


Jenny is the co-founder of Ars Nova, New York City’s premier theater for emerging artists and new work. Ars Nova’s renowned writer’s group, Play Group, has included such notable playwrights as Annie Baker, Charise Castro Smith, Sarah DeLappe, Liz Flahive, Amy Herzog, Michael R. Jackson, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Kyle Jarrow, Stephen Karam, Steven Levenson, Matthew Lopez, Carly Mensch, Liz Meriwether, Janine Nabers, Antoinette Nwandu, Beau Willimon and Bess Wohl.
For 20 years, Ars Nova has helped launch the careers of such artists as Rachel Chavkin, Billy Eichner, Bridget Everett, Sam Gold, Tommy Kail, Dave Malloy, Jack McBrayer, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Our Lady J, Shaina Taub, Robin Lord Taylor, Alex Timbers and Bowen Yang.
