Chelsey is known as a collaborator who strives to seam the gaps between directors and artists of all kinds from acrobats to actors. Combining her training and knowledge as a classical dancer, competitive gymnast and actor she as cultivated a language that supports a creative experience for the entire room. She is currently directing the movement for Henry 6, A Shakespeare play in two parts at The Old Globe, directed by Barry Edelstein.
Chelsey’s most recent credits include Associate Choreographer on the 2023 broadway revival of Sweeney Todd (Best Choreography TONY Nomination) and is currently the US Associate Movement Director on The TONY Award winning Harry Potter And The Cursed Child on Broadway and US Touring Production. In addition to broadway she has served as a Resident Artistic Director on Cirque Du Soleil’s ‘Twas The Night Before’ as well as the Assistant Director and Choreographer on Cirque Du Soleil’s broadway style show PARAMOUR (Hamburg)
Chelsey is a Helen Hayes nominee as well as a graduate from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Dance Performance. She has had a very successful performance career in both musical theatre and the classical dance world. Some credits include Original Broadway Cast of Cirque Du Soleil’s PARAMOUR; Tony-Award Winning Musical MEMPHIS First National Tour; EVITA First National Tour; The North American Premiere of LOVE NEVER DIES First National Tour. International credits include Daniel Ezralow’s OPEN. Ms. Arce has worked in both film and television as a performer and creatively on such projects as Germany’s Next Top Model 2019 (Associate Choreographer), Sochi 2014: XXII Olympic Winter Games (Creative Team), Italian hit TV show “AMICI”; Saturday Night Live; The Kennedy Center Honors (Rita Moreno Tribute); The Detour; Gone With The Bullets; China’s Got Talent; TED 2. She has also had the pleasure of working and dancing alongside artists such as Katy Perry, Beyonce, Nicola Roberts, Migos and DJ Fresh.
