Chelsey is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory earning a BFA in Dance Performance. Recent credits include: Sochi 2014 Olympics (creative team), The First National Tour of the TONY-AWARD winning show MEMPHIS the Musical, Film title “ Gone With The Bullets” and Shakespeare Theatre Company’s “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.”
Chelsey was born and raised in Connecticut, beginning her early training in gymnastics and continued competitively. She continued her studies at numerous training programs such as The Joffery Ballet School, Boston Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet. Finding a concentration and love for contemporary dance and later receiving a BFA in Dance Performance from The Boston Conservatory.
While studying at the conservatory, Chelsey has the privilege of performing in numerous contemporary and classic works by Jose Limon, and Luis Fuente. In addition to her dance curriculum Chelsey had the amazing opportunity of crossing divisions, she work-shopped and originated roles in a new musical Heaven and Hell, directed by Jason Salvik. The musical premiered at The Boston Conservatory in the spring of 2007.
Chelsey is currently represented by BlocNYC making New York City her home base. She continues to work in and out of the city freelancing both in concert and commercial dance with such artists and corporations as MOMIX, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Zappos, “China’s Got Talent”, DJ Fresh, Beyoncé, and Nicola Roberts to name a few.
Additionally, Chelsey has had the sincere pleasure of working and teaching both nationally and internationally over the past few years in such countries as Italy, Russia, and China as well as the all over the United States. Internationally credits include: Italian hit TV show “AMICI”, “OPEN TOUR”, Film title “Gone With The Bullets”, and The 2014 Sochi Olympics.
Chelsey Arce has appeared on Broadway in 2 shows.
