Elaine Paige, best known for her role as Eva Peron in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Evita, will be given Damehood. She will be given the distinction for her work in the music industry, as well as her charity work. 

The LA Phil opened its 2025 Hollywood Bowl season on June 7, 2025, with “An Evening with Hugh Jackman.” The Broadway and Hollywood star sang favorites from The Greatest Showman, The Boy from Oz, The Music Man and more alongside Thomas Wilkins, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and musicians of YOLA (Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles). 

Tacoma Little Theatre closes out its 106 th season with a knockout of a show, Rocky, beginning in June. Rocky is directed by Chris Serface, co-directed and choreographed by Ashley Roy-Simpson, and musically directed by Lindsay Delmarter, with fights choreographed by J. Carter.

Every summer for the past eight decades, the folks who make shows on Broadway and Off-Broadway happen come together to play softball, and this summer is no exception. Stars like Nick Jonas, who is currently costarring in The Last Five Years, and George Clooney, currently starring in Good Night, and Good Luck, are apart of the plays. 

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be coming to Theatre in the Park (TIP) June 14-22! With music and lyrics by Broadway heavyweights Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, this musical adaptation is a treat for audiences of all ages.

Del Sol Academy, a high school located in Las Vegas, cancelled their spring musical. In a letter addressed to parents, the school said that the production of Mean Girls was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts and lack of time for rehearsals. 

The Royal Ballet School and Ellen Elphick, a former student of the school who experienced body-shaming while attending, have reacing a settlement. Elphick attended the Royal Ballet between 2009 and 2012, where she experienced lifelong psychological damage.
