BIO
In 1988, Vince Vaughn appeared in a Chevrolet commercial and moved to Hollywood. He appeared on the television series China Beach (1989) and in three CBS Schoolbreak Specials (1990). His first film role was Rudy (1993).
He gained wider recognition with Swingers (1996), followed by The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) and The Locusts (1997). In 1998, he starred in Return to Paradise and Clay Pigeons. Additional early roles included The Cell (2000), South of Heaven, West of Hell (2000), Made (2001), and Domestic Disturbance (2001).
Vaughn transitioned to leading comedic roles with Old School (2003). He starred in Starsky & Hutch (2004) and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004). In 2005, he appeared in Thumbsucker, Be Cool, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Wedding Crashers. He followed with The Break-Up (2006), Fred Claus (2007), Into the Wild (2007), and Four Christmases (2008).
Later projects included Couples Retreat (2009), The Dilemma (2011), and The Internship (2013), which he co-wrote and starred in.
From 2015 onward, Vaughn took on more dramatic and television roles, including Unfinished Business (2015) and Season 2 of True Detective (2015). He appeared in Term Life (2016), Hacksaw Ridge (2016), Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017), Dragged Across Concrete (2018), and Freaky (2020). He produced A Christmas Story Christmas (2022).
In 2024, he starred in the Apple TV+ series Bad Monkey. In August 2024, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Motion Pictures category.
