Timothee Chalamet is a rising star in Hollywood with an impressive resume that includes both critically acclaimed films and theatre productions. Born in New York City in 1995, Chalamet began acting at a young age and attended the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.
Chalamet's breakout role came in 2017 with his performance in the coming-of-age film "Call Me by Your Name," directed by Luca Guadagnino. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning Chalamet an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. He followed up this success with a role in "Lady Bird," directed by Greta Gerwig, which was also a critical darling.
In 2011, he appeared on stage in Second Stage Uptown's production of The Talls by Anna Kerrigan at the McGinn/Cazale Theater. He made his Broadway debut in John Patrick Shanley's play "Prodigal Son" at the Manhattan Theatre Club in 2016. He was scheduled to star in Amy Herzog's 4000 Miles at London's Old Vic in 2000, but the production was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2019, Chalamet starred in the Netflix film "The King," in which he played King Henry V. He also appeared in the ensemble cast of Greta Gerwig's adaptation of "Little Women," alongside Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, and Florence Pugh.
Chalamet's most recent work includes the lead role in Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of "Dune," "Don't Look Up," "Bones and All," Willy Wonka in "Wonka," and Bob Dylan in the biopic "A Complete Unknown."
