Stage favorite Lily Rabe stars in the upcoming independent film MISS STEVENS, directed by Julia Hart and co-written by Hart & Jordan Horowitz. The AMERICAN HORROR STORY alum takes on the title role in the comedy focused on a teacher who chaperones a group of high schoolers to a state drama competition. Check out the official trailer below!

Rabe stars in MISS STEVENS alongside Rob Huebel, Lili Reinhart, Timothee Chalamet and Anthony Quintal. MISS STEVENS hits theaters on September 16, 2016.

The actress recently appeared as Beatrice in The Public's Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing, as well as the 2012 Park production of As You Like It as Rosalind, and the 2010 Park production of The Merchant of Venice as Portia, opposite Al Pacino.

She has starred on Broadway in Seminar (Drama League nomination), The Merchant of Venice (Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nominations; Callaway Award), The American Plan, Heartbreak House (Outer Critics Circle nomination, Callaway Award), and Steel Magnolias (Drama Desk nomination). Her Off-Broadway and regional credits include Miss Julie, A Doll's House, Crimes of the Heart, Colder Than Here, Proof, and others.

She has appeared in Ryan Murphy's Emmy and Golden Globe nominated FX series "American Horror Story" (for which she received a 2012 Critics Choice Nomination) and had a recurring role in "The Whispers" and "The Good Wife." Her upcoming films include Golden Exits, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The First.
