BIO

Alex made his Broadway debut in the 2009 revival of West Side Story. Other credits include the first national tour of the 2007 revival of A Chorus Line, the first national tour of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert: The Musical, the 25th Anniversary North American tour of Cats, the 50th Anniversary European tour of West Side Story and the Drama Desk Nominated Off-Broadway revival of Pageant: The Musical. Alex has also been seen in New York and across the nation in productions of Trip of Love, A Chorus Line, The Producers, Oklahoma, La Cage Aux Folles, Seussical and Naked Boys Singing. TV/Film credits include FBI (CBS) Deadbeat (Hulu Original) Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris (NBC) and the independent film Welcome to New York.





Alex has choreographed the world and off-Broadway premieres of ICONS as well as the off-Broadway revivals of The Marvelous Wonderettes and Naked Boys Singing.

I’ve just found the new definition of fun, and it’s Mrs. Doubtfire. Broadway Sacramento continues its season of excellence with director Jerry Zaks’s comedy based on the 1993 film that starred Robin Williams. It had a limited run on Broadway immediately before and following the pandemic, but enjoyed renewed success in London in 2023. Its score by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick (Something Rotten) was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award in 2022. This show is just what we didn’t know we needed – lighthearted hilarity with a touch of nostalgia and feeling. It’s a recipe even Mrs. Doubtfire can’t mess up.

Mrs. Doubtfire, a new musical based on the 1993 hit family film of the same name, is actually based on the 1987 novel Alias Madame Doubtfire by Anne Fine. The stage musical in all its purposes features music and lyrics by Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick, with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell. The National Tour is currently onstage in the Carol Morsani Hall, at Tampa’s Straz Center for the Performing Arts.
