MEGABYTES! THE MUSICAL Extended at Shelton Theatre
by BWW News Desk - Feb 20, 2018

???????MEGABYTES! THE MUSICAL is an original musical revue written and directed by Morris Bobrow. The show takes a humorous look at how we navigate technology in our lives. It's about the frustrations, anxieties, annoyances…and occasional joys we encounter as we all struggle to cope with the quotidian challenges created by technology. The point of view of the show is that of the average person using tech devices, not that of a "techie". The comedy arises from the situations, positive and negative, the majority of us encounter in working with these so-called "user-friendly" technological tools. This revue format is a series of 20 plus observational songs and sketches, each depicting its own joy and frustration of living our lives in the modern technological age - with varying results.  (more...)

BWW Review: Celebration's Knockout PRISCILLA Has Already Extended
by Don Grigware - Feb 19, 2018

'The mega-popular 1994 film The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert delivered miles and miles of heart. Priscilla Queen of the Desert the musical remains loyal to the movie  and is delightfully extravagant and colorful with perhaps the most dazzling array of costumes, amazing sets and brilliant lighting design in theatrical history. Over the last few years it has become almost as popular as the film with touring companies in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Sweden as well as in the US'. This was my opening quote when the tour bowed at the Pantages in 2012. Now onstage at the small Celebration Theatre in Hollywood, the show is much scaled down but with an incredible cast of 11, under the amazing direction of Jessica Hanna, it is more bright and alive than ever. Audiences will fall in love with this brand new Priscilla... and come away exhilarated...and wanting more. (more...)
