Audiences will recognize Lawrence Leritz from his roles in recent films including Love In Kilnerry (2022) co-starring as Deputy Rory, Julie Taymor's musical Across The Universe and with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in The Adjustment Bureau. Television includes The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, opened the 2017 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Comedy Central's Night Of Too Many Stars performing in "Call Me Maybe" with Carly Rae Jepsen and Harvey Keitel. Others include Saturday Night Live, All My Children and talk shows including The Rosie O'Donnell Show, Maury, CNN's Show Biz Tonight and numerous commercials. Lawrence Leritz is also the star of the best selling exercise DVD, Total Stretch! With Lawrence Leritz.
Leritz appeared on Broadway in the Jerome Robbin's revival of Fiddler On The Roof, Fonteyn & Nureyev On Broadway and American Dance Machine. Lawrence was the producer and choreographer of the long running Off-Broadway smash hit, "Boobs! The Musical," which received unanimous rave reviews from all the major New York critics during the 2003-2004 season.
Lawrence began his career as a internationally acclaimed dancer working with the Who's Who of international dance: George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Alvin Ailey, Robert Joffrey, Ruth Page, John Neumeier, Tommy Tune and Sir Frederick Ashton, dancing with such major dance companies as The Hamburg Ballet, Chicago Ballet, Israel's Bat Dor Dance Company, Paris Opera, The Joffrey Ballet's "Petrushka" starring Rudolf Nureyev at the New York City Center and as guest artist throughout the world, including Placido Domingo's Los Angeles Music Center Opera.
As a Spectrum Records recording artist, Leritz scored a #1 dance hit single "Crank It Up" and recently headlined in Las Vegas at The Stardust Hotel.
Lawrence also produces for television, including the annual television event, Day Of Compassion, for which Time Magazine honored Leritz as their Local Hero 1996 for his work.
