Ninth annual Broadway for Self Help Africa concert was held on Monday, April 15 at 7 PM at The Cutting Room in NYC. The successful event brought together a slew of Broadway's brightest stars raising their voices, raising the roof, and raising vital funds for Self Help Africa!

The talk of the town last night was The Wiz, which officially opened at the Marquis Theatre following months touring the country. The cast and creative team walked the red yellow carpet before the curtain went up and BroadwayWorld was there for the festivities.

Madison Wells Forward, the philanthropic division of Madison Wells, is once again partnering with the organization Self Help Africa to present the ninth annual Broadway for Self Help Africa concert on Monday, April 15 at 7 PM at The Cutting Room in NYC.

Nichelle Lewis recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she took the stage to perform 'Home' from The Wiz! Lewis plays the role of Dorothy in the musical, which is currently embarking on its pre-Broadway tour. Check out the video here!
