John Clarence Stewart portrayed the role of Simon on NBC's musical series Zoey's Extraordinary Playlis alongside Alex Newell, Skylar Astin, and Jane Levy. John's theatre credits include Manhattan Theatre Club (Choir Boy), The Classical Theater of Harlem (Fit for a Queen) and Libra Theatre (KIND SOULS) in NY. Regional Theatre: The Alliance Theatre (The Whipping Man, Choir Boy, A Christmas Carol, Songs to Grow On) , Actors Theatre of Louisville (brownsville song b-side for tray), and The Aurora Theatre (Lombardi). Additional TV credits include The Mysteries of Laura (NBC), Gotham (FOX), Blue Bloods (CBS), and most recently LUKE CAGE (Netflix), The Good Fight (CBS).

Kent Gash directs the cast led by John Clarence Stewart as Jelly Roll Morton, Cress Williams, Jasmine Amy Rogers; Wilkie Ferguson III, Karole Foreman, Eric B. Anthony, Doran Butler, Chante Carmel, Cyd Charisse Glover-Hill, Summer Nicole Greer, Janaya Jones, Grasan Kingsberry, Amber Liekhus, Davon Rashawn, Joe Aaron Reid, Naomi C. Walley and Hannah Yosef. I had the chance to chat with John Clarence while he was navigating Los Angeles traffic.
