Boston Baroque Announces THE X-TET: A CONCERT DOCUMENTARY FILM

Boston Baroque has announced the release of an upcoming concert documentary film introducing the X-tet, Boston Baroque's new period string chamber ensemble. The virtual special will provide viewers with a look behind the scenes of a weeklong residency, giving an up-close view of the group's artistic process in preparing the inaugural performance of the X-tet, and featuring exclusive interviews with the musicians about their time working and growing together as an ensemble.

New England Musicians Relief Fund Pushes Toward $500,000 Fundraising Goal

The New England Musicians Relief Fund (NEMRF) has launched an initiative to reach $500,000 in donations by March 13, 2021, the one year anniversary of when COVID-19 shut down the entertainment industry in Massachusetts. Founded in 2020 by a host of Boston-area musicians, union leaders, executives, and music supporters, NEMRF is helping New England musicians weather financial difficulties by providing relief checks to qualified musicians.

Boston Baroque has introduced its Resource Library, a digital archive of  performance sources, including program notes written by Boston Baroque Founder and Music Director Martin Pearlman, orchestration charts, and more, for free on its website. With  more than 30 composers and 235 musical works, the digital resource is a significant  contribution to the early music field.
