As the new year kicks off, an exciting and turbulent new year of theatre begins. Fresh off an international tour brimming with industry acclaim, AFTERGLOW sets its sights on Melbourne and Sydney in the coming weeks. The work follows married couple, Josh and Alex, who open their relationship for one night with a man named Darius.

S. Asher Gelman’s international sensation Afterglow will make its Australian premiere at Melbourne’s Chapel Off Chapel from January 30 to February 21, 2026, before transferring to Sydney’s Eternity Playhouse from February 26 to March 22, 2026.

Based on very personal experience, S. Asher Gelman’s play off-Broadway hit now comes to London’s Southwark Playhouse. Although polyamory is an initial theme, the play quickly becomes a study of quite a classic love triangle, where a casual physical fling develops into serious emotional involvement.
